Restoring Relationships, Preserving Dignity.

Restoring Relationships, Preserving Dignity.

About Us

The Jamiyah Islamic Dispute Resolution Centre (Jamiyah Mediation) was established as part of Jamiyah Singapore’s long-standing commitment to support the welfare and development of the Muslim community. Since 1932, Jamiyah has worked to strengthen families, promote knowledge and contribute to social harmony.

Today, many individuals, families, businesses and communities face tensions that can easily escalate into painful and costly legal disputes. Jamiyah Mediation provides a space where these disputes can be addressed through dialogue, understanding and guided mediation before relationships break down further.

Rooted in the Islamic tradition of Sulha, which emphasises reconciliation, dignity and fair compromise, the centre combines Islamic ethical principles with professional mediation practices. Our aim is to help individuals and families resolve disputes respectfully, preserve relationships where possible, and reach fair outcomes that allow all parties to move forward with clarity and peace.

Our Brand Story

For nearly a century, Jamiyah, established in 1932, has long been a trusted pillar of service within the community, working to strengthen families, promote knowledge and contribute to social harmony.

The Jamiyah Islamic Dispute Resolution Centre (Jamiyah Mediation) was established to address a growing need for a more constructive way to resolve family and community disputes. Too often, conflicts escalate into costly and adversarial legal proceedings that strain relationships and deepen tensions.

Rooted in the Islamic tradition of Sulha, which emphasises reconciliation and fair compromise, Jamiyah Mediation provides a space where disputes can be addressed through dialogue, mediation and mutual understanding.

By combining Islamic ethical principles with professional mediation practices within Singapore’s legal framework, the centre seeks to help individuals and families resolve conflict with dignity while preserving relationships and community harmony.

Vision

To be a trusted platform in Singapore for resolving  disputes with dignity, guided by the principles of Sulha and professional mediation.

Mission

To promote a mediation-first approach to resolving disputes, combining Islamic ethical principles with professional mediation practices within Singapore’s legal framework.
