Restoring Relationships, Preserving Dignity.

About Us

Established in 1932, Jamiyah Singapore is a premier social service agency dedicated to holistic community development and societal well-being. Jamiyah Mediation is the organisation’s specialised Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) pillar, providing a sophisticated, neutral, and confidential platform for resolving disputes.

Rooted in the Islamic tradition of Sulha, the centre provides structured and confidential mediation for marital, family, inheritance and community disputes. Jamiyah Mediation combines Islamic ethical principles with professional mediation practices within Singapore’s legal framework.

Through guided dialogue and neutral facilitation, the centre helps parties resolve disputes constructively, preserve relationships where possible and reach fair outcomes without the emotional and financial strain of prolonged litigation.

Our Brand Story

For nearly a century, Jamiyah, established in 1932, has long been a trusted pillar of service within the community, working to strengthen families, promote knowledge and contribute to social harmony.

The Jamiyah Islamic Dispute Resolution Centre (Jamiyah Mediation) was established to address a growing need for a more constructive way to resolve family and community disputes. Too often, conflicts escalate into costly and adversarial legal proceedings that strain relationships and deepen tensions.

Rooted in the Islamic tradition of Sulha, which emphasises reconciliation and fair compromise, Jamiyah Mediation provides a space where disputes can be addressed through dialogue, mediation and mutual understanding.

By combining Islamic ethical principles with professional mediation practices within Singapore’s legal framework, the centre seeks to help individuals and families resolve conflict with dignity while preserving relationships and community harmony.

Vision

To be a trusted platform in Singapore for resolving  disputes with dignity, guided by the principles of Sulha and professional mediation.
